North America's Building Trades Unions to U.S. Congress: Approve the Keystone Pipeline
WASHINGTON, Nov. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- North America's Building Trades Unions today called upon the United States Congress to take immediate action to approve the Keystone XL pipeline.
In letters to all members of both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, Sean McGarvey, President of North America's Building Trades Unions pointed out that "the resounding message sent from voters throughout our nation during last week's election called for bipartisan action in Washington, DC to end the gridlock hindering economic prosperity and job creation."
McGarvey went on to say that "the most immediate and impactful message Congress can send to address voter frustration is the passage of bipartisan legislation approving the Keystone XL pipeline, which is widely supported by the American people."
