North American Spine Welcomes Robert R. Bulger, M.D. to Dallas Physician Group
- Nationally Recognized Discography Expert Joins Minimally Invasive Spine Care Group -
DALLAS, Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- North American Spine is pleased to announce that Robert R. Bulger, M.D. has joined our group to help further the advancement of minimally invasive back pain treatment techniques. The AccuraScope™ Discectomy and Neural Decompression (D.N.D.) procedure treats a variety of conditions responsible for back pain on multiple lumbar levels using one single, tiny incision. North American Spine's trained physicians are the only doctors performing the procedure in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. North American Spine plans to expand its elite group of hand-selected specialists in key locations nationwide, including Houston, TX soon, with expansion to select markets worldwide also under way.
After attending the prestigious Mayo Medical School College of Medicine, Dr. Bulger trained in both Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology at Emory University in Atlanta. During his fellowship at Penn State, he developed epidural infusion protocols and techniques for post-operative pain that have since been adopted by numerous hospitals, including the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic. Other honors include an invitation to be an expert panelist and lecturer at the American Society of Anesthesiology national meeting, visiting professor for the UT Southwestern Medical Center residency and a former President of the Dallas County Anesthesia Society. Dr. Bulger has also been selected by his peers as one of D Magazine's Best Doctors in Dallas in each of the past six years.
"North American Spine and our specially trained physicians are dedicated to providing the best spine care for patients," said Sam Bailey, Ph.D., President of North American Spine. "We are excited and honored to work with a physician of Dr. Bulger's stature. His knowledge and experience will help us continue to improve our already excellent outcomes and formalize our research studies for peer-reviewed publication."
Dr. Bulger is specially trained on the AccuraScope™ procedure which allows physicians to examine the inside of the spinal canal and the discs of the lower back to identify, diagnose and treat any tears, ruptures, herniations, bulges or other abnormalities -- many of which may be undetected or mis-identified by MRIs.
"The AccuraScope™ procedure represents a significant, yet natural evolution of proven pain management techniques," said Dr. Bulger, physician with North American Spine. "This represents the logical next step in a conservative course of treatments if the patient does not respond to traditional pain management techniques."
The AccuraScope™ procedure is a minimally invasive, natural opening procedure that allows doctors to diagnose and treat acute and chronic back pain problems. AccuraScope™ has a demonstrated track record and an unrivaled success rate with more than 5,000 patients already treated.
