North American Spine is a Finalist for the Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award
DALLAS, April 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- North American Spine (exclusive provider of the AccuraScope procedure) is now a finalist for the Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award (GDBEA). The award, whose recent recipients include Brinker International and The Container Store, highlights businesses that use core values to drive their actions. The award luncheon will take place on May 7, 2015 at the Westin Galleria Dallas.
"North American Spine seemed like the perfect candidate for the 2015 nomination," said Lisa Rapfogel Ostroff and Jodie West, sponsors of the GDBEA. "The company's mission to help others, its passion in advancing healthcare, and its approach to overcoming challenges have made the organization stand out among its peers."
Companies nominated are great examples of ethics at work. They exemplify businesses operating under ethical principles and doing the right thing for their company and related stakeholders. Their work reinforces the positive, ethical values of Dallas' local business community.
North American Spine is best known for connecting chronic back and neck pain sufferers with the board-certified physicians who perform the AccuraScope procedure, an outpatient procedure that is less invasive than traditional minimally invasive spine surgery. By using advanced diagnostics like interoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) during the procedure, physicians who work with North American Spine can further increase accuracy of the treatment and protection of the nerves.
Eight thousand success stories and two separate published medical studies by researchers at multiple universities and clinical research organizations have shown the procedure to have an average 82 percent success rate among patients who have not found relief with other spine surgery or with non-surgical treatment. More than 95 percent of North American Spine patients would recommend the company to their friends.
Among the patient success stories include American country music singer and songwriter Larry Gatlin. Gatlin turned to North American Spine to relieve 47 years of chronic leg pain.
"I am a new man. The little bit of soreness I have now is a lot different than a whole lot of pain," Gatlin said. "I'm a happy camper. It's a miracle in my life and I am grateful for it."
