Norman ASA Names Torgny Gunnarsson as New CEO & President

FAIRFAX, Va., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Norman ASA, a leading security company based in Oslo, Norway, with offices in Europe, the U.K. and the U.S.,  today announced it has named Torgny Gunnarsson  as the new CEO and President. Gunnarsson brings more than 20 years of international experience from the IT industry, predominantly within security software.  Gunnarsson joins Norman from Symantec where he most recently held the position as Vice President EMEA for Symantec Hosted Services.

During his 14-year tenure with Symantec, Gunnarsson held various executive and senior management roles. He was also responsible for establishing Symantec into the Nordic market in the early 1990s. Prior to his most recent role, he was Vice President Global Strategic Partners & Alliances in EMEA and before that, Regional Vice President for Northern Europe.

Gunnarsson has a Diploma in Economics and Marketing from IHM Business School and holds an officers rank in the Swedish Armed Forces. Together with his wife and their two children, Gunnarsson will continue to live in London for the time being. He will commute weekly to Norman offices in Oslo, Europe and the U.S.
