Nordstrom Rack to Return to San Francisco with New Store

SEATTLE, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Seattle-based fashion retailer Nordstrom, Inc. announced plans to re-enter the San Francisco market with a new Nordstrom Rack store at 2 Stockton Street. The new store is scheduled to open in fall 2027.

The 51,500-square-foot store will be located at 2 Stockton Street, San Francisco, CA 94108. This building is owned and managed by Invesco Real Estate and is in the Union Square neighborhood.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc. and offers customers up to 70% off on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor and shoes from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom stores as well as core services like online order pickup for Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, easy returns and alterations at select stores. Nordstrom Rack is the largest source of new customers to Nordstrom.

This new location expands the company's physical footprint and economic impact in the San Francisco Bay Area, a market where Nordstrom has deep roots and continues to invest, including the October 2025 opening of its Nordstrom Local Fillmore location in the city's Pacific Heights neighborhood. The company currently operates 21 Nordstrom stores, 70 Nordstrom Rack stores and six Nordstrom Locals in California, generating more than 11,200 jobs statewide.
