SEATTLE, May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN) announced today plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Boulevard Consumer Square in Buffalo, N.Y. The approximately 35,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in fall 2015. The property is owned and managed by Benderson Development Company.

"This new store will give our upstate New York customers better access to brands carried at Nordstrom, at great prices."
Boulevard Consumer Square is located in the suburb of Amherst approximately eight miles northeast of downtown Buffalo. The new Rack store will join a great mix of retail and lifestyle tenants such as Target, Lowe's, Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Barnes & Noble and Trader Joe's, among others.

When it opens, the new Nordstrom Rack will be the seventh Rack store in New York. The sixth Rack opens at Manhasset Center on Long Island June 5. The company also operates two Nordstrom stores in White Plains at The Westchester and in Garden City at Roosevelt Field.
