Nora J. Robinson is recognized by Continental Who's Who
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., July 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Who's Who recognizes Nora J. Robinson as a 2017 Woman of the Year in the field of Nonprofit Work in recognition of her contributions to the field.
Robinson is the Director of Development at the YWCA of Knoxville. She has been working in her role for the past year and a half. Her areas of expertise include intercommunications, marketing, public relations and program management.
"I am experienced in multiple channels of communication—Web, intranet, employee communications, meetings and events, executive support, corporate collateral, publicity materials, community outreach, advertising, video and television commercials," Robinson said. "I am also skilled in partnering with employees, customers, suppliers and the media to achieve business objectives, and I have demonstrated success building capabilities through process design, organizational development and recruiting and training high-performing marketing communications teams."
Prior to joining the team at the YWCA of Knoxville, Robinson worked as the Sales Supervisor at The Tree and Vine, the Content Manager for KaTom Restaurant Supply, Inc., and for five years as the Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Applied Materials, Inc.
Robinson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art from California State University – East Bay. She also holds an Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Drafting from Chabot College. To further her professional development, she is a member of both IABC and PRSA.
When not working, Robinson enjoys music, painting, sculpture, spending time outside and volunteering – particularly with the Harvest Food Bank. She dedicates this recognition to all of the women in her family.
