Noodle State-by-State Guides Spell out Preschool Options for Parents Across the Country
First-of-Its-Kind Guides Arm Parents with Everything They Should Know About Preschools -- From Required Staff Training to Violations Reports to Inspections
Information Often Confusing, Impossible to Find -- Guides Takes Guesswork Out
NEW YORK, Sept. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The preschool hunt just got easier on Wednesday as leading education resource site Noodle launched the first comprehensive guide to preschools in all 50 states and DC.
The guides centralize difficult-to-find information and arm parents with the resources they need to start their preschool search, including licensing requirements, staff-to-child ratio, legal/illegal alternatives to licensing, and more. The information is organized by state, so parents can quickly understand how preschools work in their area and what they need to know to find the best options for their child.
"It's shocking how hard it can be for families to get answers to basic questions about preschools, such as 'What's the difference between being licensed and certified?' or, 'Who is in charge of inspecting preschools?'" said Noodle Editor-in-Chief Suzanne Podhurst. "Our researchers spent months doing the kind of in-depth digging most working parents don't have the time for -- and they shouldn't have to. Our guides bring together key information every parent should have before starting a preschool search."
It's part of the Noodle mission to simplify the preschool search process. In June, the company launched the largest online preschool database in the country to help parents find the best preschool for their child. The tool allows parents to easily search for, save, and explore almost 200,000 schools across the country.
"Today, people can order pizza on Twitter from their phones, but parents still don't have access to great preschool search tools," Noodle Founder John Katzman, who also started The Princeton Review, said. "At Noodle, we're saying, enough is enough. We're bringing transparency to the whole preschool search process so parents can spend less time learning how preschool works and more time focusing on their child's actual development."
Noodle has spent the past six months aggressively expanding in the education industry. In addition to its guides and search tool launches, the company acquired allclasses.com, adding nearly 100,000 local and online classes to its search engine.
