Nonprofits rally to attract donations for GiveBIG 2012 on May 2
SEATTLE, May 1, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is a news release by The Seattle Foundation:
WHAT: Held on Wednesday, May 2, GiveBIG is a one-day (midnight-midnight), online event during which residents of King County can make donations to local nonprofits on www.seattlefoundation.org/ —and a share of every contribution will be matched with funds from a "stretch pool" of $500,000 provided by corporate sponsors, individual donors and The Seattle Foundation. GiveBIG provides day-long coverage opportunities, including the events listed below and regular reporting of total contributions on The Seattle Foundation's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/TheSeattleFoundation.

White Center Food Bank board members will be at 3 local coffee shops in White Center with laptops for making donations. Join Seattle Foundation staff, Seattle Sounders and GiveBIG sponsors at the Seattle Sounders FC vs. L.A. Galaxy Match at CenturyLink Stadium. A GiveBIG Booth at the Soccer Celebration from 5:30 - 7:00 will feature Seattle Sounder Steve Zakuani signing autographs. In the video, Dakota is a detective and must solve her biggest case yet: one of the Little Bit horses is missing!
