Dr Arieh Warshel, editor of Journal of Thermodynamics & Catalysis, receives 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry
HENDERSON, Nev., Oct. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr Arieh Warshel, a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry, receives the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, together with Michael Levitt and Martin Karplus for their work in "the development of multiscale models for complex chemical systems".
Dr Warshel is a contributing editorial member in the Journal of Thermodynamics & Catalysis, hosted by OMICS Publishing Group. The Journal of Thermodynamics & Catalysis is a peer-reviewed open access journal with an objective of providing genuine, comprehensive, relevant and reliable research focusing on Thermodynamics.
Dr Arieh Warshel is a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry and a Full Member of the USC Norris Cancer Center. He received his MS and PhD in Chemical Physics. After his PhD he did postdoctoral work at Harvard University. In 1976 he joined the faculty of the Department of Chemistry at USC. Dr. Arshel has authored over 350 peer-reviewed research articles in various fields. Dr Warshel received the Tolman Medal in 2003 and was elected a Fellow of the Biophysical Society in 2000, fellow member of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2008.
