No Trick, Just Treats: Halloween Parties Power Record Weekend For Drizly Alcohol Delivery
Company smashes single-day, weekend and weekly records for order demand

BOSTON, Nov. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Drizly, the technology company powering fast, convenient beer, wine and liquor delivery for consumers and businesses across the U.S., today is reporting demand throughout Halloween weekend.
On Friday, Drizly set a single-day record with order demand that was 56-percent higher than the previous record, set earlier in the fall. That helped power a record weekend of orders that were also 56-percent higher than Drizly's prior high. For the whole of Halloween week, orders through Drizly were 48-percent greater than its prior weekly record, also set earlier in the fall. Drizly mobile apps accounted for 84 percent of all demand.
NEW YORK CITY AND WASHINGTON D.C ESPECIALLY THIRSTY
On Halloween night, New York City led all Drizly markets in terms order volume. The Big Apple saw 115 percent more orders than on an average Friday. Washington, D.C. narrowly edged Boston for the largest average order size. The Nation's Capital saw a 20-percent increase in basket size versus its Friday average, which represents a 370-percent increase over the average order size at a physical retail liquor store location. Denver and Austin narrowly trailed Boston.
