NMSDC Names Director of Learning Programs
NEW YORK, Aug. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Maggie Chaparro has joined the National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.® (NMSDC® ) – one of the nation's leading corporate membership organizations – as director, learning programs. In this newly-created position, Ms. Chaparro will be responsible for planning, scheduling, implementing and ensuring the highest level of quality in NMSDC education and training for minority business enterprise (MBE) owners and corporate minority supplier development executives.

Prior to joining NMSDC, Ms. Chaparro was the learning product manager, professional development, at the Institute of Management Accountants. In that role, she developed and implemented learning strategy and technology for a webinar series; collaborated with cross-functional teams to establish marketing and sales strategies for learning products; and collaborated on the design, development and implementation of customized eLearning programs, including the Leadership Academy curriculum that resulted in a 10% increase in revenue. Ms. Chaparro also held positions in learning and development for MetLife and the Bank of New York. She graduated magna cum laude from Marymount College with a bachelor's degree in business/training development, and earned a master's degree in human resources/organizational development from Fordham University.
