NMSDC Announces the Promotion of Suzette Eaddy to Vice President
NEW YORK, July 3, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc.® (NMSDC®) is pleased to announce the promotion of Suzette Eaddy to Vice President of Conferences, Meetings and Events. Previously, Ms. Eaddy was the Director of Conferences.

As vice president of conferences, meetings and events, Ms. Eaddy will be responsible for managing all aspects of the annual NMSDC Conference and Business Opportunity Fair, as well as the Minority Business Leadership Awards Dinner Dance and any new events developed by the organization. She will also lend her support and thought leadership to developing templates for delivering effective connecting events throughout the NMSDC network, which includes 36 affiliate regional councils across the country.
Prior to joining NMSDC in July 1990, Ms. Eaddy was Deputy Director of the National Urban League Conferences Department. She began her National Urban League career in 1972, and served in a number of key administrative positions, including Exhibit Manager, prior to being appointed Deputy Director in 1984. As Deputy Director of the Conferences Department, she was responsible for planning more than 100 meetings a year.
Ms. Eaddy is a former instructor at the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies, The Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Travel Administration. An award-winning Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Ms. Eaddy is a known expert in the field of meetings management and is a frequent speaker at many industry events. She has also been quoted in many prominent industry publications.
Ms. Eaddy has written articles on conference and meetings management for the Meeting News Meeting Planners' Handbook, SMERF Meetings Journal and several other publications. Ms. Eaddy is also a contributor to the International Encyclopedia of Hospitality Management and was a member of the George Washington University Event Management Certificate Program curriculum review team. She was a member of the Convention Industry Council's Accepted Practices Exchange Initiative (APEX) Initiative Terminology Project, an APEX Ambassador and was also a reviewer for the Convention Industry Council Manual.
Ms. Eaddy earned a bachelor's of business administration in management at Baruch College in New York City.
