NJHA's Betsy Ryan Receives Impact Award From ONE/NJ
PRINCETON, N.J., Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NJHA President and CEO Elizabeth "Betsy" Ryan, Esq., received the 2010 Impact Award from the Organization of Nurse Executives of New Jersey (ONE/NJ) at its Annual Awards Brunch, held recently at the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe.
The Impact Award is presented every year to an individual, group or organization that demonstrates an overall commitment to improving healthcare. Previous award winners have included Sen. Joseph Vitale, Assemblywoman Connie Wagner and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
ONE/NJ executives said they chose Ryan for the award for her recognition of nurses' critical role in healthcare policy development and decision-making.
"Betsy Ryan consistently finds ways for nursing to have a seat at the table," said ONE/NJ President Deanna Sperling, RN, vice president of patient care services at Kimball Medical Center, part of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System. "She has formed sound relationships with legislators on both sides of the aisle and she has paved the way for us to open lines of communication that previously did not exist."
Ryan lives in Florence with her husband and son.
NJHA, based in Princeton, is a nonprofit trade organization that provides quality improvement activities, education, advocacy and other support services to help New Jersey's healthcare providers deliver affordable, accessible and quality care to their communities.
