FRANKLIN, Tenn., Sept. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Nissan today announced that Fred Deperez is named director, Chief Marketing Manager for Nissan Marketing, effective Oct. 3.

In his new assignment, Deperez will report to Jon Brancheau, vice president, Nissan Marketing, Nissan North America, and be responsible for leading lifecycle product marketing efforts supporting Nissan's Versa, Sentra, cube, JUKE and Quest models.
Deperez joins Nissan from Chrysler LLC where, most recently, he has led marketing for the company's Dodge brand. During his time with Chrysler, he also held leadership posts in corporate brand strategy, and global sales and product training as well as global communications for Jeep. Before joining Chrysler, Deperez moved through a series of management assignments in sales and marketing, as well as corporate diversity, with Toyota Motor Sales USA.

A former U.S. Marine, Deperez holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, as well as a master's of business administration degree from the University of Michigan.
