Nippon Shokubai Embarks on Feasibility Study for 1 Million-Ton Production System of Acrylic Acid for 2021 Onward
OSAKA, Japan, Nov. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Nippon Shokubai Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Nippon Shokubai") has announced that the company will enter into a feasibility study for building the next acrylic acid (AA) plant at PT. Nippon Shokubai Indonesia, a subsidiary in the Southeast Asian country.

By this expansion, Nippon Shokubai will establish a system capable of producing a total of one million tons of AA at its facilities on a global basis. Nippon Shokubai plans to make a final decision on the Indonesian plant project in 2018 and expects to commence its operation in 2021.
