Channel Chief honorees are selected by CRN's editorial staff on the basis of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation. Each of the 2016 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs.
"We are honored to present the 2016 lineup of CRN Channel Chiefs, comprised of outstanding executives who move our entire industry forward by cultivating exemplary partner programs and executing cutting-edge business strategy," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "They represent an extraordinary group of individuals who lead by example and serve as both invaluable advocates and innovators of the IT channel. We applaud their incredible strides and look forward to following their accomplishments in the coming year."
Waldo, who joined Nintex in October 2014, is responsible for driving company revenue growth through its network of more than 1,500 worldwide partners and to establish strategic business alliances that help Nintex customers and partners achieve more profitability, drive innovation, and increase productivity with the Nintex technology platform.
Within his first year Waldo completely revamped the Nintex Partner Program including launching a three-tiered system to recognize partners for their capabilities and specific level of engagement. He also led the development and launch of an industry leading new partner portal designed and built in only three months that leverages Nintex Workflow, Nintex Forms, Mobile, Drawloop Document Generation, and Nintex Connectors sitting on top of the Microsoft Azure Cloud, SharePoint—and which required almost no custom code, saving valuable development time and financial resources, very similar to how Nintex partners and customers leverage Nintex workflow automation.
Under Waldo's leadership, the Nintex partner team added 299 new partners in the first quarter of Nintex's Fiscal Year 2016 (July 1, 2015-Sept 30, 2015) and announced the Nintex Virtual Technical Evangelists (vTEs)—a recognition acknowledging individuals working across the top pre-sale, technical, and premier partners. Also in Q1, the team trained and certified more than 200 business and IT workflow professionals.
Before Nintex, Waldo spent nine years at Microsoft where he most recently served as senior director of cloud partner strategy within the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Group. He has also held senior business development and marketing roles at Metia, Oracle, and Siebel Systems. Waldo holds a Masters of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Washington University.
