Nina DeLorenzo Joins Healthy Americas Foundation Board

Ms. DeLorenzo is a communications and public affairs professional with more than 20 years of private sector, political, and government experience. In her current role as vice president of Government Affairs Strategy and Public Policy for AbbVie, she leads a team that develops the company's stances on critical public policy issues and creates strategies that shape a more favorable public policy environment for AbbVie's business interests globally.
Her prior experience includes roles in public affairs at Pfizer Inc, international public affairs at Schering-Plough Corp. (now Merck), and at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), where she appeared on television, radio, and in print as a spokeswoman for the trade association in Washington, DC. Ms. DeLorenzo served in the administration of President George W. Bush, working in the White House Coalition Information Center at the outset of the war on terror, and in the Bureau of International Information Programs at the U.S. Department of State. Prior to this service, Ms. DeLorenzo held roles in government and on political campaigns, including positions on the U.S. Senate campaigns of former U.S. Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham. She also worked for Abraham in the U.S. Senate.
Ms. DeLorenzo holds a BA in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame and an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago. A Michigan native, she now resides in Lake Forest, Illinois.
