Nina Abnee Honored as CAF's Advertising Woman of the Year
CHICAGO, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago Advertising Federation (CAF) is pleased to recognize Nina Abnee of Leo Burnett as the 2010 Advertising Woman of the Year. As Executive Vice President of Account Management at Leo Burnett, Abnee is responsible for leading effective and creatively-driven internal teams and building and sustaining client relationships.
"Nina's words, actions and presence leave a lasting mark on everyone she touches – from clients, employees and peers to her family and friends," said Anne Rago, President, CAF. "It's evident through the feedback we've received that Nina is nothing short of outstanding. Everyone who works with Nina grows from her teachings. She's a role model for every woman in this business, and we're honored to have her as this year's Ad Woman of the Year."
As a 24 year Leo Burnett veteran, Nina has based her career success and growth on building trust with clients and internal teams by listening and understanding, and as she puts it, "bringing your ears and notepad," to every meeting.
"Anyone who seeks to make a mark in our business would be well-served to take a page from Nina's book," said Rich Stoddart, president, Leo Burnett North America. "She believes deeply in the power of creativity to create value for our clients in over both the short and long term."
CAF Woman of the Year highlights a Chicago ad woman who makes significant contributions to her company, the greater advertising community and the development of others. In its 53rd year, Nina Abnee joins a long line of Chicago advertising women who have made landmark contributions to the advertising and marketing field.
"My career has been impacted by many of the women who in the past have been honored by the CAF as Advertising Woman of the Year," said Abnee. "I'm honored and humbled to be a part of this talented group of professional communicators. Perhaps more importantly, I'm eager to use this as an opportunity to continue to help other ad women develop and flourish in their careers."
With nearly three decades of agency experience, Abnee has successfully managed blue chip clients including Allstate, Hallmark, General Motors, McDonald's, Kraft General Foods, Kellogg and United Airlines.
Abnee will be honored by CAF at a reception and luncheon on October 1, 2010 at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel in Chicago. The reception is at 11:30 a.m. and the luncheon begins at 12:00 p.m.
