Nimisha Savani named as Vice President of Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs at UT Southwestern
DALLAS, Jan. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- UT Southwestern Medical Center today announced the appointment of Nimisha Savani as Vice President of Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs. In her role, Ms. Savani will report to Dr. Daniel K. Podolsky, President of UT Southwestern, and will be responsible for leading all of the Medical Center's communications and marketing programs.

Prior to joining UT Southwestern in January, Ms. Savani spent 11 years at ConvaTec Inc., a New Jersey-based manufacturer of medical devices. During the last four years at ConvaTec, she served as Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Communications, and Executive Operations and was part of the team that lead the company's divestiture from Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Prior to ConvaTec, Ms. Savani was Director of Brand Equity and Product Management for InvestorForce Holdings, and held roles in brand marketing for the Campbell Soup Company. She began her career in marketing and management for Royal Bank of Canada. Ms. Savani has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Villanova University. She currently participates as a Fellow at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
