Nils Nilsen Rejoins Sagent Advisors

NEW YORK, April 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sagent Advisors, LLC announced today that Nils Nilsen, a Sagent founding partner, has rejoined the firm as a Managing Director and will spearhead, along with Donato de Donato, the firm's financial sponsors coverage efforts.

Mr. Nilsen had managed the Private Equity Coverage and Strategic Opportunities groups at Sagent from 2004 through 2009.  He has held several senior positions in his career including leading Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette's M&A Business Development group, which was widely recognized as one of the most successful efforts of its kind on Wall Street.  He was also the co-head of DLJ's Financial Sponsors group.  Mr. Nilsen most recently was an independent advisor to American Securities Corporation, and also previously served as a partner at First Atlantic Capital, a managing director at Merrill Lynch and spent nine years at American Can Company/Primerica Corporation. 

Mr. Nilsen graduated with a BA in Economics from Harvard College and received his MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
