Nicola Levy Appointed Global Head Of Business Affairs, Digital
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Music Group (UMG), the world's leading music company, announced today that Nicola Levy has been promoted to the position of Global Head of Business Affairs, Digital, effective immediately.
In her new role, Levy will oversee a global team of business affairs executives who will help shape digital strategy and negotiate Universal Music's agreements with existing and prospective digital partners. Levy, who is relocating to Santa Monica from London, will report to Jeff Harleston, Universal Music Group's Global General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs.

For the past nine years, Levy worked in Universal Music Group's Global Digital Business division serving most recently as Head of Business Affairs, Digital, at Universal Music Group International and previously Vice President of Business Affairs. Levy earlier served as Vice President of Business Affairs for Universal Music Mobile, based in Paris, and Director of Business Affairs in London working for Universal Music Group International and the Decca Music Group.
Before starting at Universal Music Group in 2000, Levy worked at Clintons, a London-based law firm that specializes in sports, entertainment and media law. She holds a Masters Degree in Law and Philosophy from the University of Cambridge.
