Nickelodeon's iCarly Topples All Broadcast TV in Time Slot, Bests Basic Cable Overall

Big Time Rush Flows into Number-Two Basic Cable Spot; Becomes Highest-Rated Live-Action Series Premiere of a Nick Show with Kids, Tweens and Total Viewers
NEW YORK, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Nickelodeon's record-setting episode of iCarly "iSaved Your Life" (Monday, Jan. 18, 8 p.m. ET/PT) topped all broadcast programming in the 8-8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) time period, as well as basic cable overall, with a tally of 11.2 million total viewers. Besting the next highest-rated broadcast performer (24) in the time slot by +5%, iCarly "iSaved Your Life" stands as the highest-rated and most-watched iCarly telecast ever among total viewers, kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens.
"iSaved Your Life" averaged a 21.8/4.7 million K6-11 (+211% over last year); a 20.9/4.5 million T9-14 (+267%) and a 16.0/5.7 million K2-11 (+142%). iCarly ranks as the number-one series on all of television with kids 2-11.
Additionally, the debut of Nick's Big Time Rush (Monday, Jan. 18, 8:30 p.m. ET/PT)—now the highest-rated and most-watched live-action series premiere with kids, tweens and total viewers (6.8 million) among all Nick series—was second only to iCarly among all basic cable with total viewers on Monday night. The Big Time Rush premiere averaged a 13.1/2.8 million T9-14 (+105%); a 14.5/3.1 million K6-11 (+93%) and a 10.6/3.8 million K2-11 (+61%).
Big Time Rush marks Nickelodeon's second television collaboration with Columbia/Epic Label Group and chronicles the journey of four friends who get a chance to be part of the glamorous L.A. pop music scene. Beginning Jan. 22, Big Time Rush moves to its regular timeslot of Fridays at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
