Monkey Quest: Thunderbow has richly detailed and hand illustrated graphics, an original soundtrack and three adventure-filled lands with exciting weapons and monsters exclusive to mobile. The app is filled with over the top action with fully animated enemies that react to player actions, including taunting them when they miss. Players must solve challenges by defeating opponents in order to advance to a new level. An extension of the MMO, players with an existing MonkeyQuest.com account will be able to play the mobile app using their existing MMO character and unlock exclusive weapons and gear to use on MonkeyQuest.com. Similar to the MMO, the app is ever-evolving and will be updated with new weapons, enemies, environments and puzzles.
Since its April debut, Monkey Quest has amassed more than 6 million registered users and has more than 4 million unique visitors during November 2011 (Omniture). Rated E for everyone, Monkey Quest is set in the World of Ook, a mysterious realm where monkeys rule. Free to play with a hybrid payment option; players who want an enhanced gaming experience can gain access to trails, quests, abilities and other exclusive items via membership. The hybrid payment model provides maximum flexibility for parents who can choose a subscription plan or a "pay as you go" option through NickCash, Nickelodeon's virtual currency.
