NICB and Ravelco Partner to Offer Discount to Insurance Companies' Customers

DES PLAINES, Ill. and RICHMOND, Texas, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and Ravelco today announced an agreement to provide the nearly 1,100 NICB member companies with a discount program for Ravelco's vehicle theft prevention system.

"Anyone who has had their car stolen knows the headaches and costs associated with their loss," said NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "While the number of thefts continues to decline, nearly a million vehicles are still being stolen each year and that's costing insurance companies and their customers millions of dollars every day. Wehrle noted that NICB members write 93 percent of the private passenger automobile insurance in the U.S. and the NICB counts among its members the 31 largest property casualty insurance companies in terms of annual direct written premiums.
