NHCC Mourns the Passing of its former President & CEO, Carlos Soto Quiñones
WASHINGTON, Feb. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Hispanic Corporate Council (NHCC) is saddened to learn of the passing of its former President and CEO, Carlos Soto Quiñones who passed away on Saturday, February 18th. Carlos had served as the NHCC's President and CEO from 2000 to 2009. Prior to being named to the President/ CEO role, Carlos also served on the NHCC Board of Directors representing Coors Brewing Company.
"On behalf of the NHCC Board of Directors and the entire NHCC corporate members, we wish to convey our deepest respects and sincere condolences to the family of Carlos Soto for his untimely passing. NHCC is honored to have been led by Carlos during his tenure as President and CEO of NHCC. He and his family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time," said Abe Carrillo, NHCC Chair and Director of Inclusiveness and Diversity, Herman Miller.
Throughout his life and corporate career, Carlos has selflessly served both our nation in uniform, as well as the greater corporate community by advocating greater inclusion and support of Hispanic corporate talent. Upon his death, Carlos was serving as the Executive Vice President at Comunicad where he was responsible for business development and client services. Prior to joining NHCC, Carlos served as Director of Corporate Affairs for the Coors Brewing Company. He survived by his wife Mary and his two daughters, Lisa and Libby.
