"We're committed to providing the United States Army with software that facilitates improved training operations," said Ananda Roberts, President of nFocus Software. "This extension of our contract enables us to further augment the software for that purpose."
The one-year contract enables nFocus Software to provide further customizations and enhancements to its Curriculum Management Server (Express Edition), which is the commercial software utilized by the CATS Development Tool. The contract will be serviced by personnel from nFocus Software's Phoenix, Arizona and Leavenworth, Kansas offices.
"The Combined Arms Training Strategies are the focal point of the Army's Collective Training Doctrine and we are proud to be selected to help the Army improve the efficiency of CATS Development," said Don Pruitt, Executive Vice President of nFocus Software. "Our ability to continue to enhance the Army's Doctrine Development capabilities is a testament to the people we have supporting the contract."
Since its inception, the CATS Development Tool has enabled the Army to develop Combined Arms Training Strategies more efficiently. For example, by utilizing a customized version of nFocus Software's Curriculum Management Server, the Army is able to develop these complex documents in 60 percent of the time it took prior to deploying the CATS Development Tool.
