NFL Debuts "Let The Show Begin" Campaign To Welcome New Season
New :60 Spot Features Original Music from Grammy Award Winning Artist Miguel
Premieres at Kickoff Game Between Kansas City Chiefs & New England Patriots
NEW YORK, Sept. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Football League (NFL) today unveiled a new multi-platform brand campaign to kick off the new season. The campaign – "Let the Show Begin" – showcases the unrivaled entertainment experience that is NFL football.
The campaign features a series of opening title sequences, similar to those of popular television shows, which depict how each snap of the ball brings more drama and suspense than any piece of programming that currently airs today. Movie-style posters, teaser trailers and behind the scenes footage will also appear on social media, allowing fans to experience the campaign in a variety of different ways.
"We wanted to celebrate what makes us the greatest game in the world: the action, the stars, the big moments, the spectacles, and the surprises," said DAWN HUDSON, NFL Chief Marketing Officer. "The thematic, episodic nature of the campaign highlights the emotional arc experienced by football fans and players alike, including the anticipation, excitement, and rush of game day."
The first commercial "Hope" builds to a crescendo of light and sound thanks to "Shock & Awe," an original piece of music created by Grammy Award winning artist MIGUEL and features the stars of all NFL experiences – the players. This episode highlights LANDON COLLINS, VON MILLER, DAK PRESCOTT, and EARL THOMAS, along with newcomers MYLES GARRETT and DESHAUN WATSON.
The 60-second "Hope" spot will debut prior to the regular season opener, between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New England Patriots, on September 7th at 8:30 PM on NBC. A total of four commercials, created by Grey New York, will roll out during the season with themes mirroring the unfolding human drama that occurs throughout the NFL season: hope, unpredictability, drive and survival.
To create truly authentic opening title sequences, the NFL and Grey New York teamed up with Elastic, the production company behind the opening titles of hit shows such as Game of Thrones, Westworld, and True Detective.
