BARCELONA, Spain, May 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On the heels of scoring the second goal for FC Barcelona and capturing the team's 28^th Copa del Rey victory title, Neymar Jr. comes face to face with his new Madame Tussauds wax figure. The world-famous Brazilian footballer met his wax figure this week at a private unveiling at FC Barcelona's training ground Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in Spain. The new figure will travel to its permanent home, in Madame Tussauds Orlando in Orlando, Fla., this summer.

The world-famous Brazilian footballer met his wax figure this week at a private unveiling at FC Barcelona's training ground Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in Spain. The new figure will travel to its permanent home, in Madame Tussauds Orlando in Orlando, Fla., this summer.

Neymar da Silva Santos Junior was very involved with the creation of his figure and met with Madame Tussauds artists to have measurements taken in Barcelona. He chose the figure's pose to reflect his goal celebration from the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, which he called "the most important moment of my career." He scored four goals for Brazil until he was sidelined by an injury that forced him to miss the rest of the tournament. The figure is outfitted in a Brazilian national team kit donated by the soccer star himself.

"I'm looking at my twin brother!" said Neymar upon meeting his figure. "It's one thing to experience a goal and the excitement that comes with it, but it's something else entirely to see a part of my career history reflected in wax."

The award-winning soccer star started his professional career at the age of 17. Neymar currently plays for Spain's FC Barcelona and the Brazilian national team as a forward. His young age, incredible talent and passion for the game have invited numerous comparisons to the world's legendary soccer players, including Pele, who Neymar considers a role model.
