VALENCIA, Calif., Jan. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Nexus announced today that they have become an approved partner for Cisco under the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) contract for the state of Washington. Nexus GovEd customers can now acquire Cisco product under the negotiated WSCA contract within the state of Washington. This designation is in addition to Nexus' existing approved partner status under Cisco's WSCA contract for California.
The Western States Contracting Alliance establishes the means by which participating states can join together in cooperative multi-state contracting. This approach helps states achieve cost-effective and efficient acquisition of quality products and services. All governmental entities within WSCA states are eligible to use WSCA contracts, if the governmental entity has the legal authority to use their home states' contracts.
Advanced Technology solutions from Nexus enable public organizations to better serve the public and their constituents: using voice, video and web collaboration tools, organizations can lower travel expenses, improve operational effectiveness, and speed decision making. Nexus' Data Center solutions protect critical applications and data, enable efficient expansion and provide highly available, resilient platforms—all while reducing real estate, power, and cooling costs. Borderless Networks solutions allow mobile devices to access the network transparently and securely, optimizing applications for secure access by anyone, anytime, anywhere. And Nexus' Physical Security offerings also leverage the power of secure, borderless networks to protect the people, places and things that matter.
"Nexus is pleased to be added as an approved partner to Cisco's WSCA contract in Washington. We've enjoyed great success in California under this model and look forward to giving more customers in Washington the same great Nexus experience and service as well," said Dave Elsner, Nexus Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We're pleased that we can help Washington's GovEd organizations serve as better stewards of public funding even as they deploy new technologies to improve efficiencies for their constituents."
