NextLabs CEO and Information Security Pioneer to Speak at Siemens PLM Connection 2017 on Latest Trends in Data Protection
SAN MATEO, Calif., May 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NextLabs, a leading provider of data-centric security software to protect business critical data and applications, announced their founder and CEO, Keng Lim, will be presenting at Siemens PLM Connection in Indianapolis. Mr. Lim, an information security pioneer, will discuss leading security technologies for ensuring intellectual property is protected throughout the manufacturing process. Siemens PLM Connection is the largest conference of its kind, and hosts members and industry experts to discuss the latest trends in manufacturing, deployment, and product development. Product innovation includes some of the most valued information that organizations own and the increase in information theft has warranted a stronger data defense. Mr. Lim will be sharing insights he has gained working in the industry and with CAD and PLM customers over the years.
Companies face significant intellectual property and compliance risk when they share their most critical business data. They need to be able to share sensitive product and manufacturing data across a global and multi-level supply chain and partner network. In his first session, Mr. Lim will highlight proven best practices that organizations have implemented to safeguard information and maintain the level of security required when sharing information with suppliers and partners. He will discuss new security strategies that provide greater access controls and visibility into data access, usage, anomalies and risk analytics.
Mr. Lim will also discuss how customers are using the most advanced Enterprise Digital Rights Management technologies to secure data from product creation to completion and beyond – including preventing unauthorized access throughout multi-tier supply chains with dynamic authorization, time-out features that prevent contractors and ex-employees from gaining access when they are terminated, and using real time contextual information to make sure all relevant access criteria is considered.
During his second session, Mr. Lim will focus on how customers use Enterprise Digital Rights Management (EDRM) to achieve data protection throughout the extended enterprise. Attendees will learn how advanced EDRM is revolutionizing secure enterprise collaboration by allowing organizations to automatically protect all types of documents and files with the ability to monitor access, track usage, revoke permission, and maintain persistent protection regardless of where the files are located – in motion and at scale. Mr. Lim will be joined by executives from Siemens and Caterpillar following his presentation for a roundtable discussion.
