Newton Strengthens Real Return Strategies Team
Appointing Suzanne Hutchins as portfolio manager and investment specialist
LONDON and NEW YORK, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Newton* has announced the appointment of Suzanne Hutchins (nee Rogers) to the newly created role of Real Return portfolio manager and investment specialist.
Reporting to Iain Stewart, director of investment, Hutchins will be tasked with providing investment management and product specialist support to Newton's Real Return Strategies Team, as well as acting as the primary interface both internally and externally with our clients.
Hutchins rejoins Newton from Capital International Limited, where she was investment specialist for global equity and income based investment strategies. Hutchins also played a key role in corporate governance, social and environmental issues. She originally joined Newton in 1991 as a trainee research analyst. During her time with the company, Hutchins became well respected for her multi-asset investment management capabilities. Prior to her departure from Newton in 2005 to join Capital, Hutchins was team leader of the Intrepid Team (now known as the Real Return Team) and was directly responsible for managing over 1bn pounds Sterling of multi-asset portfolios on behalf of segregated and retail clients.
