Newt and Callista Gingrich to Appear at Ave Maria School of Law Event
Southwest Florida Law School Selected as Site for Screening of Historic Documentary
NAPLES, Fla., March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Ave Maria School of Law (AMSL) announced today that Citizens United and Gingrich Productions have chosen it to be a site for a screening of "Nine Days that Changed the World", a film presented by Newt and Callista Gingrich. The film chronicles the 1979 visit of Pope John Paul II to his native Poland to stand in solidarity with the Polish people against their communist oppressors. Newt and Callista Gingrich will be present on April 18 at 7:30 PM for the screening of the film, which will be shown in the auditorium of Naples High School in central Naples.
"We are truly honored to be able to share this film with the people of Southwest Florida," AMSL President and Dean Eugene R. Milhizer said. "Pope John Paul II was one of the Catholic Church's greatest leaders, and his trip to Poland in the early days of his pontificate set the tone for his long and accomplished papacy. We are also pleased to welcome Newt and Callista Gingrich to Naples and to have them present the film. This is a cultural offering of great magnitude, one we are proud to be able to invite our friends and neighbors to be a part of."
The screening of "Nine Days that Changed the World" will be free of charge and all are welcome. The program will include contextual remarks by Speaker and Mrs. Gingrich prior to the screening of the film. Guests planning to attend are asked to RSVP to AMSL Events Coordinator Karen Govern at [email protected], or (239) 687-5334.
