ATLANTA, April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NewsRx™ has named Roscoe Smith as Chief Operating Officer in a move timed with the upcoming launch of the company's new flagship product BUTTER™.
Smith replaces former NewsRx™ Publisher and COO Susan Hasty who has retired.
Founded 31 years ago, NewsRx™ monitors all emerging research and all new discoveries worldwide, and writes a news article about each of these. The company moves this content into its 194 newsweeklies containing over 35,000 new articles a week, and onto the BUTTER™ business intelligence and analytics platform, containing over 9.5 million proprietary articles.
Smith will direct the international release of BUTTER™ on May 1, 2015. He comes to NewsRx™ from earlier publisher, CEO and COO positions at companies including McGraw-Hill, Philips Publishing, Intellerus, Agent Media, Knowledge Industry Publications, and PBI Media, and he has worked on M&A projects involving investment bankers Veronis Suhler Stevenson, Post Capital Partners, and Jordan Edmiston Group. Smith has worked for more than 30 years with global media companies.
