JUPITER, Fla., July 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Float Left Interactive, a leader in the development and creation of TV application solutions and Newsmax Media today announced that Newsmax Media's Newsmax TV has expanded its soft launch of the new multi-platform news and information channel to Android smart phone and OTT devices, making it available to an estimated 100 million devices nationwide.

Float Left will enable Newsmax TV's audience to access the channel whenever they want regardless of their Android device (e.g., phones, tablets, Google TV). Newsmax TV content remains free and without any pay wall restrictions that would restrict its audience from experiencing it. Newsmax TV also has OTT applications in place to watch via Roku, iPhone, iPad and online at www.newsmaxtv.com. Newsmax and Float Left will be adding support for more devices in the coming months.
Already available to 35 million satellite homes and businesses when it soft launched in mid-June and targeted toward an audience of more than 80 million disenfranchised Baby Boomers, Newsmax TV provides independent news with a mainstream conservative tilt. With a new approach to news and information that offers a balanced perspective and is open to all points of view, Newsmax TV will expand to feature a full range of informational programming and lifestyle content in the areas of health, finance, and personal well-being.
"We consider making Newsmax TV available not only in cable satellite and telecom homes, but on every smart and OTT device in the country a very key element of what differentiates us from other news and information services," Newsmax Media CEO Christopher Ruddy said. "Working with Float Left was an easy decision given their south Florida proximity and their proven experience in developing high-end applications for several key connected TV and mobile platforms."
With http://www.newsmax.com already acknowledged as one of the most trafficked political websites reaching 14 million unique visitors monthly, it is frequently ranked as the No 1 political website. Additionally, Newsmax.com has more than 4 million email subscribers as well as a feed network to other websites that generated as many as 1 billion page views a month of Newsmax content.
"Expanding Newsmax TV to the Android ecosystem made perfect sense," said Kirby Grines, VP Business Development for Float Left Interactive. "The amount of time U.S. adults will spend watching video on tablets is expected to increase 54% this year. Android is continually making steady progress and now commands over 50% of the smart phone market share and over two-thirds of tablet. By making Newsmax TV available on Android devices and Google TV, over 100 million consumers can now access Newsmax TV on their phones, tablets, and TVs."
