The services center provides off-site support for projects from consultants working in a culture or time zone close to the customer. This model helps to lower costs associated with onsite staffing and deliver value faster to customers. Teams working at the center will be specialized in the implementation of solutions and business processes in areas such as human capital management (HCM), customer relationship management (CRM), supplier relationship management (SRM), transportation management, finance and logistics. In addition, SAP will provide new employees with extensive training for the implementation of projects in new areas such as business mobility, business analytics, cloud computing and in-memory computing. To date, SAP has already hired 51 new professionals for the services center.
"The competitive advantages of our new services center in Portugal are clear: near-shore service delivery to customers in EMEA and an eager, engaged and well-educated talent pool," said Franck Cohen, president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, SAP. "Built on this strong foundation, our new services center will provide significant value to our customers by helping them implement innovative SAP solutions more quickly and cost-effectively."
The SAP® Services portfolio includes industry and solution-focused services; business and IT transformation services; custom development services; support services; program, project management and quality assurance; and education and certification.
