WALLDORF, Germany, Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SAP NEWSBYTE — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) reached more than 4,100 SAP S/4HANA® customers globally in the third quarter. In North America, thousands of customers selected industry-leading SAP® solutions to enable their digital transformation. The company earned particularly impressive growth from sales of SAP Hybris® and SAP SuccessFactors® solutions in SAP's small and medium business (SMB) segment, which is now up to 6,000 customers, including 1,350 that chose SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Some SAP customer successes in North America are outlined below.
MOD Pizza, a United States-based fast-casual restaurant company, purchased SAP S/4HANA Cloud and the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite. The company is taking the restaurant industry by storm with its innovative "made-on-demand" superfast pizza chains. Named by Technomic as the fastest-growing restaurant chain in the United States in 2015, MOD has over 160 stores throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, and expects to double in size in 2016. SAP provides this innovative, successful growth company with a comprehensive public cloud platform that will support MOD's core financials, inventory, project management, recruiting and employee data processes.
Cintas Corporation, a trusted leader that helps keep companies of all sizes and types at their best with products and services ranging from uniforms, through first aid and safety products to fire extinguishers, selected the full SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite, including SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, over Workday solutions, to transform its HR services. With the SAP SuccessFactors offering, Cintas expects a much higher level of employee self-service to significantly reduce costs and strengthen real-time decision making, giving the company the "Live Business" advantage.
PepsiCo, one of SAP's largest customers, is live with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central across 78 countries with more than 159,000 employees. The United States and Canada are expected to go live in early 2017, bringing the total to more than 250,000 employees on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Bearing the Ditch Witch brand name, Charles Machine Works (CMW) manufactures and sells underground construction equipment and parts. CMW selected the SAP Hybris Cloud for Sales, SAP Hybris Cloud for Service, and SAP Hybris Commerce solutions, along with SAP Configure, Price, and Quote, and SAP Hybris Digital Documents by OpenText to get an accurate view of orders and improve forecasting. CMW expects the holistic view of the customer delivered through this e-commerce initiative to simplify business transactions and increase revenue through relevant marketing to end customers.
Since 1938, ATB Financial has grown from being one small treasury branch to the largest Alberta-based financial institution. ATB chose the SAP Hybris Marketing solution over other cloud-based marketing solutions to more effectively listen to, understand and communicate with existing and prospective customers across various digital platforms. ATB selected SAP Hybris Marketing for its powerful data management and segmentation capabilities and ability to provide ATB with lower overall total cost of ownership with faster time-to-market.
Insight Enterprises is an Arizona-based publicly traded global technology company that focuses on business-to-business and information technology capabilities for enterprise and public sector clients. It is increasing its footprint in value-added professional and technical services and in the provisioning of cloud solutions in response to changing demand in the marketplace. Insight selected SAP Hybris solutions to integrate all digital and physical customer touch points onto a single platform to more efficiently connect customers with service or sales agents.
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District is a community-owned electric utility governed by a seven-member Board of Directors. The company is upgrading to SAP Business Warehouse powered by SAP HANA® and implementing SAP Document Presentment by OpenText to gain visibility into meter data and improve customer services through enhanced communications and personalized invoices.
