News America Marketing to Send Two Marines to Super Bowl XLV
NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sergeant Anica A. Coate and Staff Sergeant Brett R. Hayes, of the U.S. Marines Corps, will attend the Super Bowl and the weekend-long festivities leading up to the game at the invitation of News America Marketing, the nation's premier publisher of coupons, consumer promotion and advertising services.
Coate, originally from Plymouth, Mich. and Hayes, who hails from Marathon, N.Y., will be given transportation to and from the bases where they are currently stationed to Arlington, Texas. There they will be greeted by their News America Marketing hosts and treated to four nights at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Convention Center. Both service members will receive tickets to the Super Bowl game as well as invitations to the NFL's Super Bowl Tailgate Party, the NFL's Saturday Night Party, and News America Marketing's own Super Bowl Kick Off Party, where they will be recognized on stage and thanked by their hosts for their service in the armed forces. Coate plans to bring her father and Hayes will be joined by fellow Marine, Justin Hansen.

Sergeant Coate earned her Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device as part of the inaugural Female Engagement Team in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. In 2010, she returned to the 9th Communication Battalion to serve as the Assist Substance Abuse Control Officer. Staff Sergeant Hayes serves as an Element Leader within a Marine Special Operations Team and has displayed courage in multiple operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Coate and Hayes were chosen out of more than 130,000 active duty enlisted Marines by the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, the top enlisted Marine. The Marines were recommended by their commanding officers for their leadership, accomplishments and dedication to their units.
