Newport Corporation Announces Participation in Two Investor Conferences in September

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Newport Corporation (NASDAQ: NEWP) today announced that its senior management is scheduled to participate in the following investor conferences:

On Wednesday, September 12, Charles F. Cargile, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will present at the Deutsche Bank dbAccess 2012 Technology Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The discussion will begin at 11:40 A.M. Pacific time (2:40 P.M.
