Newly Crowned Miss America 2012 Will Further Education With $50,000 Amway Scholarship
Laura Kaeppeler Named Miss America 2012 in Las Vegas on January 14
ADA, Mich., Jan. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Amway awarded a $50,000 scholarship to the new Miss America, Laura Kaeppeler, and more than $300,000 to the other Miss America contestants on January 14, 2012, at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The Amway scholarships help empower American women to achieve their personal and professional goals. With her scholarship, Kaeppeler plans to pursue a family law degree. Prior to the pageant, Kaeppeler earned an undergraduate degree in music and vocal performance at Carthage College.
