Newlight's AirCarbon Wins Biomaterial of the Year
IRVINE, Calif., July 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- California-based Newlight Technologies (www.newlight.com), inventor and manufacturer of AirCarbon™, was honored to win the "Biomaterial of the Year" award for the company's AirCarbon material at an international biomaterials conference in Cologne, Germany.
The 2013 International Conference on Bio-based Plastics & Composites, organized by the nova-Institut, featured representatives from 23 countries, including representatives from DuPont, BASF, Clariant, Bayer MaterialScience, and NatureWorks.
The Biomaterial of the Year 2013 Innovation Prize was sponsored by Coperion GmbH, and, for the fifth time, conference participants voted for the winner.
