Newfield Exploration to Redeem $325 Million in Senior Subordinated Notes
THE WOODLANDS, Texas, April 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Newfield Exploration Company (NYSE: NFX) announced today that it has elected to redeem all of its outstanding 6⅝ Senior Subordinated Notes due September 2014 (the "Notes"). The Notes, which have an outstanding principal balance of $325 million, will be redeemed on April 30, 2012 at 101.1042% of the principal amount plus accrued interest. Newfield intends to fund the redemption primarily through the use of its credit facility.
U.S. Bank National Association is the trustee for the Notes and will act as the paying agent for this transaction.
