NEW YORK, Jan. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Students and educators from Newark Prep Charter School will join Andrew Campanella, president of National School Choice Week, executives from K12 Inc., and school choice leaders from across the country in ringing the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, January 26, 2015.
The bell-ringing will commemorate the official start of National School Choice Week 2015 – which will be the largest celebration of opportunity in education in US history. The Week runs until January 31, and will feature an unprecedented 11,082 events nationwide.
National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for children, including traditional public schools, online and blended schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools and homeschooling. The goal of the Week is to inform parents of the education options available for their children, while raising awareness of the benefits of school choice.
