New York Residence, Inc. Hosts an Event in Honor of I.M. Pei's 100 Birthday at The Centurion Condominium

The attendees at the 120-person seated invitation-only event had the pleasure of enjoying a private classical concert performed by the Metropolitan Chamber Players, featuring pianist, Marika Bournaki, and cellist, Julian Schwarz. The illuminated waterfall lobby in The Centurion Condominium was the backdrop for this once-in-a lifetime opportunity. Following the concert, there was a free-flowing champagne reception for the guests who had the opportunity to step out on multiple terraces of the penthouse apartments.

During the champagne reception, Ms. Minna Elias, Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, presented the Congressional Record Tribute to Mr. I.M. Pei and The Centurion, and read passages of the Congressional Record to the guests. Today, the plaque is proudly hanging in the lobby of The Centurion Condominium.

The Centurion Condominium, close to Fifth Avenue and Central Park at 33 West 56^th Street, shares many design elements with Pei's best structures. Residents particularly enjoy the serene waterfall lobby which is architecturally stunning and helps residents to relax the moment they enter the building.
