New York Eyewear Company Makes Large Donation, Expands to Atlanta

Established in late 2010, Moraleyes adheres to a one-for-one sales philosophy, donating a pair of reading glasses to its non-profit partner, New Eyes, for every pair sold. In Moraleyes' brief history, the company has already donated over 18,600 reading glasses.
Moraleyes CEO, Joseph Sacks, credits the size of the latest donation to strong first quarter sales and a steadily growing public awareness of the Moraleyes brand and its one-for-one blueprint.
"There's a growing enthusiasm for our cause and products. We're receiving notes and emails of support from all over the country," says Sacks. "This donation reflects that support."
The response in Atlanta, GA, has been particularly strong. So strong, in fact, that Moraleyes recently opened a permanent collaborative showroom for socially responsible businesses in AmericasMart, Building 3.
"The growth of Moraleyes is representative of the growth of charitable giving within the business world at large," says Sacks. "We're seeing more companies choose to give back, and Atlanta has been extremely receptive to ours and other charitable businesses. We're excited about what this expansion means not only for our company and contributions to New Eyes for the Needy, but for other socially responsible businesses as well."
In the coming months, New Eyes will distribute the donated glasses to individuals around the world who lack access to vision care and correction.
"Vision loss is often a part of the aging process, and it's easy to take our everyday access to vision correction for granted," says Sara Levit, Moraleyes' Creative Director. "By donating reading glasses, we alleviate vision-related job loss and sustain literacy in underserved communities around the world."
Moraleyes reading glasses, sunglasses, sun readers and accessories are available for retail purchase at Moraleyes.com, Amazon.com, and through select retailers. The company's Atlanta showroom, A Beneficent Collection, is located in AmericasMart Building 3, Room 8-N311. Moraleyes eyewear will also be available for purchase at the Atlanta Street Food Festival, July 14th at Piedmont Park.
