BENTON HARBOR, Mich., Nov. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Washing dirty dinner dishes may seem mundane, but the clean ones ready for breakfast in the morning is an important part of the care families give and get every day. That's why Whirlpool included an easily adjustable upper rack in its newest dishwasher, solving for families struggling to make room for every size dish, all at once.
Not only did Whirlpool® brand design the new ENERGY STAR® qualified dishwasher with more flexible capacity, the new EZ-2-Lift™ adjustable upper rack allows families to accommodate dishes of many shapes and sizes.
"For more than a century, Whirlpool® brand has worked to help consumers care for others by developing product innovations that fit seamlessly into their lives," said Jon Hall, senior brand manager, Whirlpool brand. "We saw families trying to cram all their dishes into one load and needed more space for the awkward items."
In addition to more flexible capacity, with twice the number of jets1, the TotalCoverage Spray Arm in the dishwasher uses a smarter sequence of spray patterns from multiple nozzles, for more cleaning coverage and sparkling dishes after every wash. The AccuSense™ soil sensor on the "sensor" cycle measures load size and soil level during the prewash and adjusts to the right settings throughout the wash and dry cycles, for precise cleaning of dishes. This sensor technology determines how dirty dishes are and adjusts the "normal" cycle as needed to make sure dishes come out clean.
The new dishwasher offers the following care components:
- A TargetClean™ option to scour away baked-on foods with 40 focused spray jets, which zero-in on tough corners in coated brownie pans or lasagna dishes, to save time from soaking and scrubbing
- The Silverware Spray feature delivers a shower of water to the Anyware™ Plus silverware basket to remove stuck-on foods and virtually eliminate utensil re-washing
- A 1-Hour Wash cycle for a quick, yet thorough, clean on lightly soiled loads
The Whirlpool® dishwasher (WDT920SAD) is now available online and in-store at retailers nationwide in White, Stainless Steel, Black, as well as White Ice and Black Ice, with a starting MSRP of $949.00 each. For more information, check out the new dishwasher on whirlpool.com.
