New Washington State Homebuyers Program From National Water Company Provides $10,000 Insurance Policy
SEATTLE, May 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A new program from National Water Company for homebuyers is underway. Responsible real estate agents should be directing homebuyers to get sewer line inspections on all used home purchases, and many Realtors in the Puget Sound area are already doing this, using sewer inspection companies that charge around $250 for the inspection, reporting, and repair recommendations. This ensures that a sewer line does not need immediate repair, for which an unsuspecting buyer would be responsible as soon as the papers are signed. Now Realtors, home sellers, and homebuyers can use the National Water Company inspection service and receive a one-year $10,000 insurance policy at no additional cost.

National Water Company advises homeowners that a sewer line inspection should consist of the following: video inspection of the entire sewer line all the way to the city connection with video provided to the paying party, written report of issues that need correction with clear explanation of the problem and its exact location and depth, and the overall condition of the pipe material.
