New Video Documents Scott Tucker During Recent Test
MADISON, Wis., Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Le Mans Series held its first official test session at Sebring International Raceway February 8-9 and Scott Tucker invited a film crew along to document the action.
Along with international motor racing journalist Diana Binks, the crew followed Tucker and the Level 5 Motorsports team with unique access to offer fans of the 2011 LMP2 championship-winning team remarkable insight into the preparations required to race on motorsports' biggest stage.
"The 12 Hours of Sebring is a one of the great events in the sports car racing world," Tucker said. "We put a lot into that race and the test sessions show just how much team work and the level of effort required to win there."
Tucker, a native of Leawood, Kansas, has proven he knows what it takes by winning the last two Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring race events — first in the LMPC class in 2010 and then in the LMP2 class last year. That is a title the team is eager to repeat.
"We had a very productive test session and we feel we are in a good position as the race draws closer," Tucker said. "We have a strong field of competitors in LMP2 this year and we know we need to keep focused."
Fans can enjoy the video at the Level 5 YouTube page [http://www.youtube.com/user/level5motorsports] . There, they will also find a wide variety of videos featuring one of the most successful motorsports organizations in the world.
Tucker will return to Sebring for the 60th annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida. The American Le Mans Series season-opener, set for a 10:30 a.m. ET start on March 17, will also serve as the first race for the new FIA World Endurance Championship. It will be broadcast March 18 on ABC and shown live on ESPN3 or ALMS.com.
