New Ubisense myWorld Contract in Japan, First Customer in Asia
CAMBRIDGE, England, October 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Ubisense Group plc (AIM:UBI), a leader in enterprise location intelligence solutions, is pleased to announce that it has extended the reach of its flagship myWorld product into the Japanese marketplace. Ubisense myWorld has been selected by the water bureau in Nagoya, the 4th largest city in Japan.
Ubisense myWorld is an Enterprise Location Intelligence solution that integrates data from any source - complex Geographical Information Systems' (GIS), real-time asset data, GPS location, corporate systems and external cloud based sources - into a live geospatial common operating picture. myWorld delivers this intelligence to everyone involved - online or offline, in the office or field - in a simple and quickly digestible form.
Nagoya City Water and Sewage Bureau will be using the myWorld solution in their HQ, upgrading their legacy GIS system to achieve a new, unified view of their operations. The Bureau has also purchased a number of myWorld licenses for their field team, to help improve the efficiency of its inspection and survey activities.
This new uptake in Japan represents significant strategic growth for Ubisense, which is achieving growing market penetration with myWorld in North America.
"We're delighted to have been selected by the Nagoya Water and Sewage Bureau," said Jay Cadman, Ubisense VP of Networks Industry at Ubisense. "This is a real testament to the flexibility of myWorld, which we believe can deliver benefits to a variety of infrastructure intensive industries across the globe through the simplification of complex data and its various relationships."
Ubisense myWorld now has over 10,000 users across its increasing number of utility and communications customers, and is focused on further expansion into multiple geographies, with a focus on North America, Australia and Japan.
