New Survey Shows US Dogs and Cats Engaging in Risky Behavior: Drink From Toilets, Eat Crumbs Off Floor, Press Noses to Windows
New PawSafe Household Cleaners provide a natural cleaning alternative that lets consumers rest easy!
DALLAS, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- A new Harris Interactive survey of dog and cat owners in the U.S. finds more cats (23 percent) than dogs (16 percent) drink from the toilet, most dogs and cats (77 percent) eat crumbs off the floor and about half press their noses against windows. And while most consider these commonplace behaviors for dogs and cats, they are also risky because of the probability the animals are also ingesting chemical residue left behind from household cleaners.

As the pet parents of the 60 million dogs and 70 million cats in the U.S. begin to undertake their annual spring housecleaning chores, many are concerned that in their quest to rid their homes of dirt and grime they may be harming their four-legged furry family members. Of the survey's 2,482 respondents, more than half worry that their pets might be ingesting chemicals left behind from household cleaning products. One fifth of respondents said they are not at all familiar with the ingredients in the household cleaners.
Now, pet owners can ease their minds with new PawSafe Household Cleaners, made with all-natural ingredients that are safe for use around pets, really the whole family. Even the one-third of pet parents surveyed who admit to never cleaning their dog or cat's chew toy may want to start, with the confidence that what their pets put in their mouths and play with will be clean, and safe too.
"Keeping a clean home with pets around is always a chore; but keeping our pets safe from the harsh chemical odors and residues that come along with traditional household cleaners can be even more challenging," said Amber Zable, Brand Manager. "PawSafe Household Cleaners deliver a safe, powerful clean for pet parents who are concerned about the health of their household pets and family."
PawSafe Household Cleaners are formulated without harsh chemicals, using natural plant-based ingredients, such as beet sugar. All are safe and just as effective as traditional cleaners at cutting through grease and grime, limescale and soap scum, without leaving dangerous chemical residues behind. PawSafe Household Cleaners have also earned the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for safety and cleaning effectiveness. From Floor Cleaner to Window Cleaner, Multi-Surface Cleaner, Tub and Tile Cleaner, Toy Cleaner and of course, Toilet Cleaner, PawSafe Household Cleaners provide the peace of mind pets and their owners can rely on for a safe and clean home. PawSafe sponsored the survey.
